London Screenwriters’ Festival 2016: Selected for Talent Campus 2.0!

On Friday I was ecstatic to discover I had been selected as one of 28 writers for the prestigious London Screenwriters’ Festival Talent Campus 2016! This will be the third time I have attended the festival, but more importantly will do so as part of an exciting, challenging and invaluable programme to develop my writing and take a quantum leap one of my feature scripts.

The Talent Campus involves a ten day intensive screenwriting course as well as two months of mentoring from industry professionals. Over the course of the programme we participants will build our professional and industry skills, refine our stories, writing and pitching, rigorous road testing of our chosen projects to increase the likelihood of getting optioned and produced and develop strong first draft scripts or treatments to take into the marketplace. In addition we receive passes to this year’s London Screenwriters’ Festival as well as Festival Week events, and attend exclusive private audiences with some of 2016’s heavyweight speakers. It is a professional development programme equipping writers with knowledge of the practical business of screenwriting to help advance their careers. I am delighted to have been selected and cannot wait to get started. A huge thank you to the submissions team at LSF!

I will post a summary of the three day Ignition sessions next week. Until then congratulations to all the other writers chosen for the programme.
